When did you start your business and what motivated you to go into business for yourself?

 

After owning the Poway Dream Dinners since 2007 and loving our positive impact on local families, we were very excited to acquire the San Marcos store in May of 2018.

 

Tell us a little bit about your business?

 

Our goal is to grow great kids, bring families together around the dinner table creating quality time with those who are important to us.  We know that can be hard sometimes so we’re here to help.

 

Who is your ideal client/customer?

 

Anyone who is busy, tired of cooking, doesn’t like to or doesn’t know how to cook, wants variety in their dinners, needs to save money on groceries, or finds it stressful to plan ahead for dinnertime.  It doesn’t matter if you’re single, married, kids or no kids, young or old, male or female!

 

What is the one thing that sets your company apart from its competitors?

 

We ARE the original meal prep company.  We do all the shopping AND prepping of ingredients for all 17 different recipes for you to choose from.  Plus those 17 recipes change every month!  They are quick, easy, healthy, family-friendly meals.

 

What is your greatest accomplishment as an entrepreneur so far?

 

Poway Dream Dinners won the award at the International Franchise Association in 2017 for a franchise store that “has the heart to give back to the community and make a difference.”  We were very honored to be chosen.

 

What are your top 3 values in life and business?

 

Helping others- A big part of Dream Dinners is also a full time non-profit humanitarian organization bringing food and other helps all over the world.

Integrity- in life and business – as of this writing, Poway Dream Dinners is the #1 store in the company through the hard work and integrity of the whole staff.

Families – building relationships and showing how to care for one another.

 

What is the most helpful tip or “hack” you’ve ever learned, stumbled across, or been given?

What’s your favorite funny story about yourself?

 

On being a mom – my 16 year old son’s best friend called me one day and started the conversation with “Hi Mom (he called me mom too), don’t worry!  The ambulance is already here!”   Ugh!

 

What is one food/drink you can’t live without?

 

Coffee

 

Are you a morning or evening person?

 

Morning

 

What’s your superpower, or what’s your spirit animal?

 

My superpower is being Grammy

 

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

 

I would not need glasses – 20/20 eyesight

 

If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you like to see cast as you?

What is your best advice for women entrepreneurs?

 

Surround yourself with business people you would LOVE to do lunch with.
